Oil Sketches
Two little portrait studies in oil

Ollie
I wanted the setting of this portrait to reflect the subject's eastern interests
(
Please excuse the slightly blurry and light-faded photo.)

Lakeside Campfire
It was "fun" trying to get the eerie effect of twilight. Quite a sinister atmosphere so perhaps those fireside campers are in for a rough night.

Bob
Here's a charcoal study commissioned by a recent client.
I'm pleased to say that he liked the finished portrait, which was nice.

Hilbre Island
Hilbre Island sits at the mouth of the Dee estuary at the end of the Wirral peninsula.
I grew up in nearby West Kirby and would love to walk over to the island once the tide had gone out.
Happy days!
